Took a shot this morning before I went to work. There is something about this lens that I'm really starting to like . I bought this lens just after I bought the D750 as I didn't have any wide angle FX lenses at the time . Spending 2 grand on a camera was a luxury for me and I really didn't want to spend much more on a lens right away. So I picked this thing up for around a 130 dollars to make due until I could afford a 24-120 f/4 lens. It takes a while to get used to shooting with it and it does take some work to figure out it's nuances. Once I did, this lens is now my go to glass for flowers, butterflies and the like. It is not a very good landscape lens however, (or I just haven't figured out how to use it for that purpose yet.) It can give a horrible looking out of focus background or it can give a wonderful and smooth looking background. I have to really get the DOF just right . I also really like the color that this lens produces. I don't have to do much work in post to get the color looking right. Also this lens is very sharp, even with a 1.4 TC attached. Overall I'm happy that I have picked this lens back up after having it sit on the shelf for a while collecting dust.
