Message: <blockquote data-quote="Danno_RIP" data-source="post: 526886" data-attributes="member: 34269"><p>You know there is an upside to this failed shutter...  they have your camera and they are taking it apart to fix it and they will tune it up and replace or adjust anything else that may be out of spec.  I went in to buy a $3 part for my bike and found out about a recall on the bike.  It had 106,000 miles on it.  The repair required a complete tare down of the motor.  I replaced one bad piston and a couple other parts out of spec and got all new rings and seals... in effect, a rebuilt motor for the cost of the parts not covered... less than $200 @ 106,000 mile...  So there is an up side... A new camera after X number of shutter clicks.</p></blockquote><p></p>
