I've used the wrist strap each time I've been out with my camera. The strap does give a lot of confidence that the camera isn't going to slip from my grasp & it is completely out of the way from the camera controls & operation. Attaching is quick & easy, although the rubber washer makes me feel that long term it may become harder to tighten. For that reason, I leave the strap connected most of the time. On walkabout, the strap makes you carry the camera in your hand & less likely to put it in a case. After an hour, I do start to feel the weight of the camera, but the camera is at the ready for a shot at any moment. I find this very convenient. In warm weather, my wrist had some sweat under the strap, but it was not too uncomfortable. Wearing long sleeves, the strap was almost invisible, which I liked. Leaving the strap connected, makes the camera a little unsteady after a shoot when leaving on a desk for instance, as it does not sit flat. I find this to be the biggest inconvenience. Also, I now realise why they make a nylon coated tripod screw as the metal tripod screw & metal connector can rattle as they knock together. After use, removing the strap is a little awkward as I am using my left hand, whilst still holding the camera with my right hand. The best way I found to get out of the strap was to wriggle my wrist around, while supporting the camera with my left hand. Quality of construction is very good & I felt it to be worth the money. The strap is smaller than I expected & overall I am pleased with my purchase.
