Rick, I have the Standard and love it.. I can add the underarm stram as an option but as of yet have not seen a need for my work. More intense climbing/hiking it will be an asset. Regarding the mount... superb, strong, hangs well and slide to the eye quick and easy. If you use the Tripod alot, they have already mentioned a couple options.. In addition, you can: 1. Get a Bosstail from Bostrap... it attached the regular strap mount of the D5100... Mine is set like that and the tripod mount is attached to the bottom of my 5100 I was able to position it well, and it comes top ready clean but not quite as smooth as the normal attachment 2. I am using the normal BR attachment on my D7100. It actually has rings so I believe I could connect the strap directly to one of those. I have the Nikon Battery grip (spelled solid but heavy) mounted on the D7100 and I spent today walking around an old fort during a Revolutionary War Re-enactment. I was there from 10:00am until 3:30pm... The camera carried well and easy... and when I wanted a shot, it was quick to get it! Pat in NH
