Message: <blockquote data-quote="Blade Canyon" data-source="post: 190188" data-attributes="member: 15302"><p>Mine is the regular without the underarm part, but I love it.  If you are not already familiar with the Black Rapid straps, they attach to a metal ring that you screw into the camera's tripod mount.  The big disadvantage is that you cannot leave the quick-release plate attached to the camera if you are doing both handheld and tripod work, but for hiking all over Wyoming last April I loved the way the BR strap works.  The camera stays down by your hip, but you can slide it up to your eye super fast.  The cross-body style feels secure.  The reason it's faster than a normal strap is that the ring slides loose on the strap.  If you were to wear a normal camera strap across your body, the whole strap would have to slide around your shoulders every time you want to take a photo.</p></blockquote><p></p>
