Best way to off camera Nikon 700 speedlight to D3200 camera

Well, newbie mistake that I didn't clue into. I wanted the speedlight to work off camera with my 3200 and just figured out that it won't. I see many equipment options for remote additions. I can shoot manual if needed, I don't want a twisty cord but can have a straight cord if it's about 20 feet long. Is there such a thing? Or, I can use a remote device but I'm getting the idea that they're not as reliable. Links are appreciated. I've been reading the strobist articles but, I have a hard time differentiating with different equipment.

What you have found out is that the D3200 doesn't have a commander mode. You have to move up to get that feature. My D7100 has it but i am not a real fan of it anyway. You need to look into wireless triggers.

This is the ones I have

Amazon.com : YONGNUO YN-622N-KIT YN622N-KIT Wireless i-TTL Flash Trigger Kit with LED Screen for Nikon including 1X YN622N-TX Controller and 1X YN622 N Transceiver : Camera & Photo

They are easy to use and set up and also you can add additional receivers and flash units and have multiple lights for your setup as you go

If you do decide to get more speedlights then you might want to consider this one. Works great and costs a lot less.

Amazon.com : Yongnuo YN-565EX I-TTL Flash Speedlite For Nikon Version Nikon D7000 D5100 D5000 D3100 D3000 : On Camera Shoe Mount Flashes : Camera & Photo

I have this one and the Nikon SB700 and I really can't tell a lot of difference between them

I run the same radio triggers as Don. Three receivers and one dedicated transmitter. Great thing is that in a pinch the receivers can also act as a transmitter.
