You could go to the Lightroom camera settings and apply some corrections to get rid of the mentioned clipping. You could then save the settings and then apply them automatically when you import from your D700. Are you sure it's posterization you are seeing and not clipping? There is a button you can turn on or off in the histogram window that would show you when clipping occurs and it could look like posterization also.Good luck.</blockquote>
