That was followed quickly by a used Durst M601 englarger. Interesting story I read about Praktica. After the wall came down between E and W Germany, the leadership of the company were meeting to decide what to do. Apparently they had been making cameras for many years at a cost greater than the selling price. After lots of discussion, a wise individual finally told them the first thing they needed to do was to stop making cameras. My Praktica was a very basic design, somewhat clunky, but worked fine. It's biggest draw was that it used the universal screw mount, so there were lots of lenses available for it.</blockquote>
