Daughter has a D50 and leaves hers for weeeks between usees without problem..sounds like a problem with the camera...did you get it new ? did it always do it ? if you just bought it ( on ebay) get your money back via pay pal ...  Is there a software upgrade available check on nikon.com</p></blockquote><p></p>
