According to several sources I saw online, the Nikon L100 takes AA batteries.
Hi thankyou for the reply yes it takes AA batteries I've tried some new Duracell battery but it says after a shot battery exhausted it had some other batteries in which lasted a while but they went flat and I disposed of them when I bought the new ones there doesn't seem to be enough power in the ones I've bought tbh

The lithium will last longer than the alkaline but are more expensive. Myself I would try the rechargeable Ni-MH, I use the Amazon basics the one listed as pre-charged, 2400mAh in my flash but I already have numerous sets and a charger.
