Hi folks, ,I need help!! Got a Vertax D12 grip for my Nikon D800 today. Camera worked brilliantly all day - before I put the grip on. Once it was on, (as per instructions), it would not turn the camera on or work at all. At one point when I was screwing in the base, the green light popped on, but then stopped. I tried to get it to work with the battery ONLY in the grip, with a battery in both the grip and the camera (both good batteries from Nikon) and it didn't work. So, I figured the grip was a bust...yeah, should never have let my family buy me one for Christmas. Anyway...I put the battery back in my camera and went to turn it on and it's DEAD!!! I'm SO upset. Please, can anyone help me figure out what to do? I tried 2 different batteries (charged) that work in my D7000, but my D800 doesn't respond whatsoever. Thanks in advance for your help!
