If you have round knobs on your ballhead, they're generally small and can be a pain to tighten. Well, in anticipation of my new tripod, I decided to do something about that problem. One of the knurreled rubber wraps came off one of the knobs and I epoxied it back on. Just to be sure everything stayed put, I also used a tie-wrap. The locking part of the tie-wrap now serves as an additional leverage knob while tightening down the ballhead. I have big hands and this knob is now easier to manipulate. And, if you have weaker hands, the knob tightens better because you can push harder on the tie-wrap. Just be sure to tighten the tie-wrap as tight as you possibly can. If there are any sharp edges left, just use an emory board to sand the points down. It may look a little hokey, but it works. I just wish I had black tie-wraps. :)
