The subject is Solar System objects on this. We are in prime season for photographing Saturn and near prime for Jupiter. So I think somebody with a very nice Newtonian or other reflector telescope is going to walk away with it. Deadline is mid-September, 2023.

Yeah, they are pretty clear about wanting to freely use the image.

Flip side is it is 1 photo only. And the up side is trading that for a book and autograph of Brian Freakin' May! If you win that is.

The winner was a photo of the blood moon of January 2019. An astro-modified Canon T5I was used with a telescope.
