I think I could be satisfied with the lens as is using its own focus ring manually.I'm out of practice so I'd have to relearn as I go. But I was having good luck with the Nikon Ai 105mm micro other than having to manually focus using a DX camera. So I was figuring a nikon Ai 200mm micro would compensate for using a full frame camera. I believe it won't be true macro without a spacer. Now I could be remembering wrong. It's been awhile.
