Ok I read somewhere that these older DSLRs are no longer supported by Nikon. That parts are no longer made and Nikon has in this way forced people to buy new models if they wish them to be repairable.
I'm a huge fan of my D700 and the D300s and this is awful news to me.
Is it true? Or could there be other companies making parts for these older but still awesome DSLRs? Luckily I don't run up the shutter count really fast, but I hate the idea that the lifespan of my D700 is reduced due to lack of parts.
My D700 is working fine, with a fairly low shutter count. So hopefully it will be quite awhile before it needs any serious repairs. But I'd love to hear some good news parts and repairs anyway.
