These are great images! I'm just starting out in photography and a lot of the images I take of children are blurry. Can you provide me with any tips on things I can try to help improve my focus and clarity? Do you use any action sets or presets in you editing process? Any suggestions you have would be appreciated
thanks again
Hi Glinville,
You don't mention lighting on your question, if using ambient then you must ensure the shutter speed is fast enough to avoid camera shake (rule of thumb is shutter speed equivalent or nearest to focal length used to take the image), if using flash then ensure you use the fastest flash sync speed available.
The critical point of focus for 99% of all portrait work is the eye unless there is a specific reason to emphasize another part of the body.
There are many good articles on portrait work that you can google so would advise you read some of these as they will offer good advice, YouTube also offers some videos that may prove helpful.
One of the most critical aspects of any portrait shoot is the interaction between photographer and subject so ensure you work to build up a good rapport.
