Should work for the last two or three releases. Always helpful to have it written down somewhere in case you need to call MS. However as others have said, the manufacturer license is not transferable  If you bought a system builder OEM disk from a retailer such as Newegg or Microcenter, you can transfer the license but would have to discontinue using the previous machine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
