Anyone shot tethered with d7000?

Trying to shoot tethered and Lightroom will not recognize my camera. I've updated to most recent firmware, and tried it with a memory card and without. I've rebooted LR (2015) and still nothing. My computer recognizes that the camera is connected.

Any help??

No experience, but I recently bought a long USB cable so that I could do the same with my D7100.

I'll try it with mine and see what it does. Are you windows or Mac?

How long is your cable? I had an issue with my D800 where my Mac saw the camera but LR wouldn't on any USB3 cable longer than 3 feet. I wound up buying a very high quality 20' cable ($56) that worked. I'll try testing my D7000 some time today, but again, I'm on a Mac.

I've tethered my D7000 to a couple of notebooks running LR4. Haven't done it recently since the D7K is mainly used for macro and I don't shoot much macro. Does LR see the camera?
