Don't know if anyone is interested, but I thought I'd give an update on how the slideshows are going. I have since uploaded a total of 11 slideshows to Youtube. Most of my vids have garnered only 50 views each, more or less. I have one that is the star and is still growing with over 700 views. That is the one of swan pictures from a recent trip to Swan Lake Iris Garden. I can't say that I have really grown much in the craft of putting these shows together. I am also now hampered by having to rely on recent photos only, as opposed to having a body of work to choose from, although I believe the quality of recent images is somewhat better than I was doing last year. I have come to realize the importance of utilizing good music that is appropriate to the subject. I tried branching out to other sources than Youtube's audio library. The first one from a different source worked quite well. The second one snagged a copyright issue, and I had to use a different audio track before publishing it, even though Youtube said the track was authorized for Youtube, and I made the appropriate attribution. Again, I am not looking to becoming a YT star, or even monetizing the channel. I suppose if it took off and I was getting a very large number of views, I might look into it, but it just doesn't seem like where I want to go with photography. I have looked on it as a means of allowing friends and family to view my work, such as it is.
