Message: <blockquote data-quote="piperbarb" data-source="post: 300510" data-attributes="member: 12214"><p>I agree, update to the latest version of OS X, or the latest update that your Mac can handle.  Another choice for anti-virus protection is ClamXAV.  It is free, doesn't constantly ask you to pay, and works very well.  You can get it from the Apple App store, or from their Web site.  Not the fastest in the world, but you can run it in the background as needed.  Unlike, Windows anti-virus software, you don't have to run it all the time.  I run it about once a week, especially to check my e-mail for any incoming nasties from Windows users.  I also use it on my Ubuntu Linux computer.  I have been using it since I bought my first MacBook Pro in 2010.</p></blockquote><p></p>
