i had a quick look there, this is the second lens on the page, is it any good???

Rokinon/ Nikon 650-2600mm Super Telephoto Zoom Lens Today: $299.99

i am not buying but have seen similar to this before and wondered what the deal is with it.

I don't know what you mean when you ask what the deal with it is, but I'll pass along you can find this same lens on Amazon for about $30 less.

sorry HF, I meant is it a good lens, its just the price makes me think that it would not, there were 2 reviews on it, 1 good 1 bad, so??

Everyone; while I do think it's just *spiffy* you're all planning ahead and getting your Christmas/(C)Hanukkah/Solstice/Kwanza shopping for me done this early this year, I'm also thinking we should form a sort of... I don't know... a registry or something. So I don't get duplicates, you know?

This lens was available on Amazon until recently but is now out of stock. They don't know if they will be getting any more. It comes under many different names.

I've been considering buying one but for one specific project. I'll only get one if Comet ISON 2012 safely makes its way around the sun and becomes visible around late November/early December.
