You have lenses that cover the 24-70 range (more or less). Wide shots are cool. I've shot with the Tokina and Nikon 17-55 on my D7000 at a few events and got some fun pics. Most of my recent concert stuff is FX with the 24-70 and 70-200 with some ultra wide thrown in with the 14-24. Photos shot with the 70-200 tend to be my favorites.  You can get closer to the emotion with a tele, but you're further from the totality of the situation.
