The first is that power off data retention is usually not as good for SSD's as it is for a magnetic hard drive. This is mainly a concern if you plan on leaving the drive sitting unused for extended periods. The second is probably less important here, but because of the wear leveling done in SSD's it is virtually impossible to securely delete data from an SSD so the only way to securely erase one is to physically destroy the memory chips in the drive. -Don-</blockquote>
