It's amazing what they can do with plates and screws. I was fortunate to have the surgeon who is with the USA SKI Team. </p><p>When I was younger, 40 years ago, I had 1/3 of my calf and Achilles' tendon blown off from schapnel ( other leg ) which required the surgeon to basically superglue the bones back together and hope a skin graph took.
