I want to St. John's Island (near Charleston) and photographed the Angel Oak Tree. It is a 400-500 year old Southern Live Oak that is 68 feet high, 28 feet in circumference at the base and has a canopy shadow area of 17,000 square feet. It is an AMAZING tree!
I wanted the pictures to appear as natural as possible, so I had to clone/fill out lots of people, telephone poles (to hold up some of the larger branches), guy wires and yellow posts and chain around the base of the tree.
"Front" view: (16mm f/2.8 AIS fisheye Nikkor)
"Rear" view: (15mm f/3.5 AIS Nikkor)
And a "Nightmare on Oak Street" view with the 8mm Fisheye
