I believe they are indeed black eneloops. I bought about 24 white AA eneloops when they first came out and they just won't die or lose any performance. Besides camera flash, they get daily use in radios, flashlights and other portable devices. I also have a bunch of AAA white eneloops and I did have a need to buy one set of the white amazon basics AAA last year. I can not tell a difference other than the label printing, they work fine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
