If you have a lot of balloons and perseverance, it is possible with some concentration, practice and good luck as you have demonstrated.The first thing I'd do is to hang the balloon from something, like a tree branch or a boom of some kind to get a better background and possibly better splashes too. Shoot from a low angle and the sky will be your background.
