Some time ago I saw a 'tube vid from a photographer that bought a totally convincing Nikon grip fake - can't remember if it was ebay or not. The item had all the packaging, complete documentation including instructional item folded exactly like Nikon + he paid full retail price thinking he was getting a true Nikon product. He did the 'tube vid as a warning to others. Edit - here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV_rxL3UV-g I was tricked once buying a flash drive on ebay - thought I was getting and paid top dollar for a really fast Corsair 4gb drive and only got a 2gb drive. Truth is I actually bought a Corsair drive, but the memory chip was 2gb not 4gb. The fake mills over in mainland China had managed to reprogram the flash drive interface to appear as a 4gb drive to the computer. I got my money back and unforunately for the vendor, who was legit, lost his pants and his previously good reputation - he was tricked too. Saying all that, I've successfully bought lots of stuff on eBay but just not anything. I need a grip for my d7100 and have looked on ebay but won't buy one there.
