All about buying a nikon d5100

Till now, i have not have my own dslr. So, i wanted to get one now, i just wondering should i buy the nikon d5100, since it is not very expensive and the function are still good. Thank you!:)

I have the 5100 and am very pleased with it. Having said that, I did a lot of research before I bought analyzing what I wanted to do with the camera, what type of shots, what my budget was etc.

Good function and not too expensive will not cut it is it does not fit what your photo goals are.. Analyze those vs the 5200, 3200, 7000 and the FX cameras.. If the 5100 meets your goals, by all means grab it!

I agree with RockyNH, The d5100 is the perfect camera for its price. So much functionality in such a small device. If you are just starting off then the d5100 would be a great start

Depends on your needs and your budget.
But given the current prices, the D5100 is the best priced from the D3100/D3200/D5100.

I just bought mine in November and I also did some research before buying. I have to say that I am pleased with my decision and cannot complain any. Most of the annoyances from the reviews were about button placement and such, nothing I am used too since I did not own a dslr before hand.
