Good morning,
Affinity Studio has had two updates so far (3.02.3912 Win 11) if you are using the .msix installer you simply update in the app when you open the program. For those using the more traditional .exe install (makes it much easier to link with other software) the update procedure can be a little confusing for non computer folks.
For those using the .exe installer, you will see the "same" updater message when you open Affinity when an update is available. If you click "download" it will open your browser already signed in and offer the installers to you. Now for the weird part, the .exe installer is named "Enterprise" with no real easy way to know this is the one you want (see screen shot below). After downloading the update file saving it where you want on your PC now you can install it. With Affinity closed simply "run" the file and it will open a dialog box that says "update ?" click yes and the program will update and all settings will remain the same.
Note: If you saved the different versions, at the moment they are using the "same" file name. If you save it in the same folder it will replace the older file (with a warning), your option is to rename it or save it in a marked folder so you can keep the last version in case of trouble.
I hope this helps other Affinity users, V3 is running very well for me so far and a good update (IMO) worth trying out. Remember you can use and keep your older version/s running on the same PC, V3 will not affect your installed older versions.
For those looking for a no cost editor its surly worth a try - hope this helps someone
