Hello. My status as a photographer is hovering between newbie and hobbyist. I know just enough to create a nice image now and then but not enough to be consistent. I am also still learning my equipment. I picked up an older [FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]AF Zoom-Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6D. It works and does not seem to have any issues. However, I am not seeing any way to put the lens in MANUAL FOCUS MODE. Many internet searches have failed to produce the secret. I feel like this is a dumb question but I am just not seeing the way to do this. Currently exploring my camera menu to see if that is the way.

Thanks - Gumbo

Don't see what camera you have but I would say just turn off AF switch by lens mount and proceed to focus manually as you normally would. This is the old street sweeper lens so beloved of photo journalist and they can produce some awesome photos.

Thank you. Ron did the trick. I was not familiar with the switch near the lens mount. Now I am a little more educated. I appreciate the responses.
