You can imagine what is was like to lug a D2X with the 80-200 around. Since my goal in buying the D5300 was to have more of a fun camera for weekend trips, this lens fits in with that plan.I haven't had a chance to shoot with it but it's a great feeling to pick up the camera with that lightweight body and lens combo. I'll shoot some photos this weekend and let you know what I think. Does anyone else in the group have this lens?</blockquote>
