ok, i am glad u got the dust removed under same repair.
Non D is almost the same as the D, in shape/size, glass........, it does not have the chip which tells the camera the subject distance "D". It is auto focus. i use this lens for outdoor photography without flash anyways so being non D didn't matter to me.
