AF 70-210 old - is it OK?

I just paid 55 bucks for a
Nikon AF Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6



Used on a small shop in Tokyo, ebay

It looks stunning! As new! So, is this old 1990ies lens a good lens per se?
Maybe not up to 80-200 level, but as a daily snapshooter?

The old 70-210mm f/4-5.6 is a very good lens. I don't like the old push-pull zooms, personally, but that's me.

From a purely technical standpoint it's a very good zoom. Maybe a little cool shooting but very clean otherwise.

I've also bought one for I think 50$. It's very sharp close but I think it just won't focus to infinity. But it's made like a tank compared with newer lenses and the shots at close range are really pin sharp.
Bokeh is a little nervous though.
