Hi folks, I did something stupid yesterday and broke my budget tripod. It is a Manfrotto 7321 YB I tried to move the head a couple of mm via the handle when it was tighter than i expected and clean snapped the tightening handle off. Bloody stupid...but hey ho.. It was a budget tripod but actually served my purpose rather well, and considering i have just spent close to $3,000 on my D600 and 3 lenses my wallet is closed to any significant camera related gear. But my favourite subject is macro.. so i need a tipod. So the reason for this thread is I'm trying to figure out if i can buy a new head to fit on these legs. This tripod is a single unit.. but i can remove the head from the central 'stalk' via an allen key and wonder if i can fit a new head or possibly more likley buy a new central stalk with a fitting the will fit a new head. Then i could buy a decent head and in a couple of months upgrade the legs to match the quality of the head.... I can't find this model on the Manfrotto site... Any other suggestions? I really want to keep costs down right now...i've already spent a $1000 more than i intended this month! Thanks for any help or ideas.
