advice on camera hard case

300 dollar budget ,


i have in my soft bag a nikon d7100 probably upgrade to d810 at some point , 18-55 , 55-300 upgrade eventually to 70-300 , 50mm , 11-16 tokina , yonguo flash will get another , all the cords filters etc that need to be taken

looking at this one at the moment

I personally like Pelican cases.

yeah the pelican cases are pretty expensive , i ended up with this one, looks to big for carry on but ill use my soft bag to carry the most expensive items onboard and check the hard case with all the accesories you end up with , then i can just load my soft case for any particular shoot , it was sure getting heavy lol

I have a Pelican case that was set up for carrying computer networking equipment. How hard would it be to change out the inside padding to support camera gear instead? Guess that question would apply really to any hard luggage that wanted to be repurposed...

Just check if free form foam inserts are available for your model. Then take out the current insert and put in the new foam insert.
