Concerns about Adobe's decision need to be posted here on their forum which is monitored by Adobe staff: Adobe Community: Photoshop CC-cloudy thinking Personally, I like the Creative Cloud subscription. I use InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro, Audition and Prelude, on both my PC's and my Mac. And I like dinking around with software, especially when they tie in with each other. Plus, photoshop on CC comes with digital publishing add-ons (for creating iPad apps). For $30/month, I have access to all of it from any of my computers, so it's worth it to me. I still have CS5 and Lightroom 3 as download versions (non-cloud). Although you can store files on their "cloud", I don't. I could never afford to buy the entire suite of creative apps . . . over a thousand bucks. And I have to admit, I like their software . . . I used it way back (14 years) on a mac, (still have licensed copies of Golive, etc.) and for awhile, Macromedia was an alternative and I used some of those programs but never liked them as much. That being said, I always dislike when options are reduced, and maybe this is an opportunity for other software companies to step up their game.
