I just got a new D7200 to use exclusively with my 300mm lens so I can use a zoom lens with my other D7200. I wouldn't have gotten another one other than Nikon is doing away with the second card slot in the D7500. Here is the first image taken with the new body. The file name is changed to NIK instead of DSC to keep each body distinct from one another. I ran into a problem I've never experienced previously and hope someone can point me in the right direction. I edited the NEF in ACR then took it to PCC. Right away I noticed a ton of noise in PCC. So I reopened the NEF in ACR and added a circle with noise reduction. The noise reduction is outside the possum (outside the circle). But when I move to PCC with the file, there's so much noise. I've never experienced anything like this. The circle has a heavy amount of noise reduction applied (to make a visible difference). Both working spaces are sRGB even though the original NEF is Adobe RGB. That's how all my bodies are set so it shouldn't make any difference. Here is a link to the NEF and its side card with the editing I did in case anyone would be willing to look. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tk5a43trnryjsdc/AADKDhTXjZ2IOshXN1VONIT5a?dl=0 Here is a screen shot in ACR. There is a heavy amount of noise reduction applied to make the difference more noticeable. Then when I take the file into PCC, there is so much noise. What might cause the noise reduction to not get applied to the file when moving from ACR to PCC? Is there some type of camera body setting that I missed which would cause this?
