Great idea, I really like the messaging as well as the weight sensors. It could be done but it will be a challenge, politically speaking. The cost will be one of the biggest hurdles as with current residential solar systems. Get the cost down and people will adopt, but you cant get the cost down unless someone is buying.

Anyone believe that large oil companies would allow anything solar to see the light of day??
not until all the fossil fuel on this planet is dried up & they jump on a new fuel source to dry out...
wind, solar, tidal energies have been around for so long it ain't even funny anymore.
sorry for the rant, i wish someone would stand up & save this amazing planet of ours from the greedy *&$%^

I agree, unfortunately. Probably millions or hundreds of millions spent on lobbyists to make sure this kind of stuff never happens.

Not just the money involved, but scientists who developed these technologies, mysteriously 'disappear' or inevitably meet with car accidents or such...
