Let me say that the reason for my post was to point out what a good job this camera does with focusing and that I like the colors and image it gives me right out of the camera. It was very cold and the action was moving fast so I really wasn't overly worried about filling the frame as I mentioned in the original post about the need to crop these pictures. The post was about stating a few thoughts about the camera and wasn't posted for a critique on my abilities to take a picture. I was mainly testing out the focusing ability of the camera and as I stated in my opinion worked very well. I am personally like the layout of the camera and how well it performed for me. just because I am thrilled with it doesn't mean it is for everyone but I am convinced that the vast majority of photographers that try this camera will give it two thumbs up. it does a lot of things very well and I highly recommend the D500 to anyone that is considering getting one. I would like to add that this is a chance for trying out my new camera and is my granddaughter's soccer game, I am not on a paid assignment to shoot a pro game!
