Now you have told us that we may question the origin of the best pictures, its great to share though, i have no children but my wife goes out with me on my walks if she is not working, she even takes her camera sometimes.
WE have a Coolpix L120 as a backup for our D5100 and D7000. Always nice to have a decent backup to your backup.
I was in the camera shop yesterday, replacing the lens cap I'd just lost on a walk, and, well, you know how it is... They had a refurbed 18-55 kit lens for just £50. I snapped it up. We now have the D40 with 18-55 and the D3100 fired up and ready to go with an 18-55, plus the 55-300 zoom for general use. And then there's my D7100 with, erm, stuff. My eldest boy (12) has a used D40 I got for him as a reward for doing really well at school. He has the kit 18-55mm that came with my D3100. Everyone in the family is envious of the joy my hobby gives me. He wants my old D3100 body and my youngest (11) wants the D40. My wife, a resting painter, thinks she wants on the bandwagon but I'm not sure it's her thing, but who knows. The 12 barely uses the 40 so I might just get a prime to share (the 55-300mm is too much for them all) and see what happens. I'd love to be able to share this them all. I think (the solo walks are blissful)!
