I recently taught a PS Elements class based on 11 but had a few that had version 8. When we got masks two hand were raised "No Mask's" tried a work around but to no avail. I believe in masks and not erasing a pixel. Well I did search found a site that had a plugin hack to create a mask. Sent then the instructions and they were able to do it and be ready. Why I brought this up is that they (insert any manufacture) wants you to buy the latest and greatest. Now many of you have cable? My self I got off that merry go round years ago an erected an antenna and rotator. Since I am in close proximity to Canada I can get a lot of free TV. Has your cable bill remain the same? Most anything you can do with "old" PS or PSE will still work and it on your computer. Now there are others out there that make decent RAW converters and even PS/PSE similar software and if they have any entrepreneurship you may see these companies pick up where Adobe, MSOffice wants you to RENT. SO if you think the 9.99 will be around for years...well look at your cable bill it never went down. I remember LP Vinyl and the CD replacement and they said the price would come down. Did it? No way, thats why you can find musicians that will sell you CD's by passing the "inflators". Just my 2¢ Lou Cioccio
