I have had enough lenses to know better but had to try to find some thing to try it on,very windy out side so i just tested its ability to take the type of picture i mainly want it for,close up flowers and insects but no where near macro.

First shot closest focus 55mm

Full image no crop so i feel sure it will give me what ime after.

This was a lens I really wanted to get to go with my 18-55mm kit lens, but the cost of it slowed my wants down a bit. Lol :D Someday maybe, but I found something I want much more, and I'm saving my money up for it! :D

I love my 55-300mm but for fast subject movements it is a bit slow. I will figure out which is good for sport on my D5100. But it is not that big need now.
