3D Tracking

I tried to put my camera in 3D tracking, but when I go through the menu (push button on left and scroll with sub command dial) all the other modes come up, but 3D doesn't. What's up?

You are set at AF-S which will only set focus once at AF-on button activation. You need to be on AF-C (continuous focus adjustment) or AF-A (auto selection of modes). Then the 3D will become an option.

It was in AF-C. Very strange, I turned camera off for a while, turned on, and it started working. Changed no settings. I sent camera to Nikon a few months ago because screens were disappearing, and they said camera had no problems. I think they missed something.

Thanks.

You might want to consider this electrical reset that Peter7100 shared with us a while back. I used this on my D7200 when the shutter button no longer would allow focusing. Worked like a charm!
