Just bought this lens. It is my first VR lens. I was looking for a versatile lens for general multi purpose use and I think this is the one.
I am looking forward to my results.

Recently purchased this lens. But after using it for a few times I conclude that it is not my type of lens. Actuallly I noticed that I am not a fan of zoom lenses. I think I am going back to the store and try to change it for a 105 2.8 micro.

​Well, here are my updates on my purchases last month. After having 18-105 mm in my kitty, I purchased 70-300 mm Nikkor lens. This is quite good for wide tele shoot. But for macro photography I am still not satisfied... so I am planning to buy 105 mm macro lens from Nikon. The results from this lens looks pretty awesome and this is going to be my next purchase. Do post your results also.

I sold my 28-300 f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II AF-S
last sunday
was not what I was looking for (maybe one day I'll go for a Nikon AF-D 180mm f/2.8 IF-ED or 200 f/4 micro)
and bought a SB-910.
