18-270 tamron and d5300 review..

so after some time using the lens im overall pleased with it, there are a few issues though the zoom is heavy and moves a lot because of gravity and its weight its a pitty it can only be locked off at 18mm, im also finding it a little soft especially at long range, and it tends to front focus or back focus a lot which is only really apparent when the shots are off the mini view screen and on the pc - which means no real chance of retaking the shot my auto focus single point sq (ie what im aiming at) frequently is not as crisp as the surrounding areas but maybe there is a setting i need to look at for this im unsure?, overall though it is a good point and shoot lens but maybe a regret buying this over the nikon 18-140..

finding a focus point is an issue though at times on average to dark situations, and complicated objects.
