I was originally concerned that this might fall when I'll be in FL visiting family, but I'll be home the Monday before. That said, that Saturday I have plans with the Mrs. for Bethlehem, PA Oktoberfest. With that in mind, I'm thinking about possibly putting in a "walk" for the event. Technically it would not be a walk as much as a wander since the event is all held within the confines of the Artsquest facility, which is smack in the middle of the old Bethlehem Steel facility where I recently attended Bethlehem Musikfest... ...so there will be opportunities to shoot everything from concerts to architecture to whacky Oktoberfest events to street/people. I truly don't want to have to "lead" something, and my wife isn't crazy about the idea of me having to corral people for 2 hours, but I figure it's an opportunity to get lazy and simply get everyone together in the beginning, send 'em out shooting, and then meeting for beers, food and general hanging out afterwards. So, for anyone in the NJ/PA area, do you think this might be a decent event to plan this around? It used to be a paid event, but this year it's free. I'm kinda hoping someone else thinks the same way and puts the event in. I may even mention it to the folks at Artsquest since they are always doing something with photography and maybe one of their folks could run it? The wheels are turning.
