“I AM Advancing” vs "I AM Disappoint"

I heard about this alleged (and admittedly, too-good-to-be-true-sounding) firmware update program I AM Advancing, on Nikon Rumors back in January of this year. Several month later I feel safe in assuming the "I AM Advancing" program has "advanced" right to the digital garbage heap?

What a shame... I'll admit I was really hoping to have the Electronic First-Curtain Shutter and full-screen RGB Histograms for RAW files.

My experience with Nikon and "after the sale" upgrades (or even software maintenance) has been pretty dismal. This is an area Canon is way better at. But remember how slow Nikon is to move on pretty much anything, and consider there is still hope they will get around to this.

I would have no problems paying for firmware upgrades if the bring fixes and new features. Of course there is the issue of piracy control which I am guessing they have nothing in place for. I wonder how/if Sony deals with that regarding their camera apps?

they have missed a big opportunity.

This firmware update wasn't based upon an official Nikon statement but a rumor based upon what probably was a hoax.
