Weekly Photo Challenge May 15th - May 21st "Something Old"

Hello! I would like to post this picture. This are the remains of the old Gunpowder Mill, inside the Roslin Country Park. The Mill was first opened in 1801 and was used to produce gunpowder to be exploded in mines. Sorry, still new and I don't understand how to make my picture appear as an image...

Ho Thank you for your feedback. Sorry I don’t understand the question . This was just a shot and I didn’t post processed. Of course I am planning to go in post process for more important shots, though I am now trying to get better at shooting: focus, aperture, shutter speed, iso etc… Even though...

    Practising with my new d5300

Hi ! Thank you for your feedback! So what could I do to make it better? Keep in mind that I was in manual with a lens that is 40 years old. so I had only one point of focus and to put her in focus I pointed at her nose… What should I have done? maybe a slightly smaller aperture? Thanks!

Hello everyone. In the past few days I went out and took a few random pictures. There's one I would like some feedback from the more experts: It's a portrait of my daughter, taken from about 10 metres far from her. I used a MANUAL 135mm lens that used to be my dad's, so I don't have the complete...

    Nice to meet you all!

Hello I’m Gabriele, I’m Italian and not really new to photography. My dad l, when he was young, had a Nikon F40 and used to develop his own shots at home. So now he’s not using his equipment anymore so I inherited all the gears. Even though manual, the lenses are very good as I tried them with...

Subject is too dark. Used Nikon D3200

Hi! Thank you for your answer. Yes Inteied also with the settings you suggested and it actually takes good pictures. It keeps saying that the subject is too dark. If it’s like this though I’m bound to shoot always in manual. I mean i don’t mind shooting in manual but the idea of having a camera...

Subject is too dark. Used Nikon D3200

Hello everyone. I am a newbie and I have just bought a used Nikon d3200 with only 600 actuations. It seems new, even though the camera is a pretty old camera. Though I was on a budget and I found this to be a good opportunity. Since I had the camera body, a few days ago, I shoot in manual mode...
