Nikon View may be old but until now it has been great.

Solved. After three weeks of research and trying everything that was suggested on five forums, I gave up and went to Msoft support chat. I gave the specialist control. He tried for an hour and finally suggested downloading a fresh copy of Windows 10 and overriding my copy. After a reinstall of...

Nikon View may be old but until now it has been great.

Thank you, Marilynne. The package is Nikon View 6. The file that initiates opening is nkvbrowser.exe. I don't think the .exe references the memory card until the program is functional and displays the Tools menu. I certainly will post the details when solved. Thanks again. Richard

I understand what you're saying. I keep a Vista pc operational just to power an Epson scanner because Epson wouldn't update their software to work with Win 10. This current problem didn't appear to be caused by any updates. It was fine at shutdown and failed at the next startup. At first, I...

I have resisted updating but only because I've interpreted more features as changing the rhythm and direction the mouse takes to achieve bulk editing tasks. For example, if I used Photoshop to achieve the same end, it would take triple the amount of time. Leaner is better for my needs.

Nikon View may be old but until now it has been great.

I just encountered a peculiar problem with Nikon View I've been using daily for several years through various Windows operating systems and W10 for at least five years. It normally opens in whichever photo folder I was in last and immediately begins loading the folder's thumbnails. Now it...
